Question: Will mealworms travel in a straight line?

Hypothesis: The worms would only travel along the straight line with the extra added motivation of bran.

Exploration Phase:

Trial 1, The bran line - Ruff, travelled the bran line three times from one end to the other. Tumble, weaved along the bran line creating small pathways. Fitch, one of Chelsea's mealworms, did not travel the bran line at all. However, we believe that Fitch's inactivity can be attributed to its behaviour (Fitch appeared comatose for the majority of the week).

Trial 2, The pencil line - Ruff traveled the line in the absence of bran for 12 cm on the first attempt. On the second attempt Ruff travelled the entire line.

We concluded that mealworms have the ability to travel in a straight line, with and without the motivation of bran.
